My Writing Roots

Turning craft, story, and adventure into growth.

I write for outdoor brands, founders, and creators who need stories with real weight to keep their followers informed and engaged. Not only will I help you grow your business, but I’ll craft narratives shaped by experience and a rich appreciation for the natural world.

I grew up fishing and skiing in northern Virginia, and later found my way into hunting and fly fishing the South from my home base in Alabama. The outdoors have been the backdrop of my life, and shape the way I write: grounded, honest, and built with the same care as your favorite knife or the same old L.L. Bean puffer jacket you’ve mended three times now. Writing has always been a part of my journey, from writing short stories as a child to fueling my professional growth later in life.

Professionally, I have spent years writing for startups, founders, and small brands. This includes email series, landing pages, pitch decks, newsletters, and long-form storytelling. I bring a mix of creative craftsmanship and strategic clarity, helping brands find a voice that feels lived in and unmistakably their own.
